Four days after the release of DAMN., Kendrick Lamar has released the music video for the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced album standout "DNA."
It begins in a dimly lit interrogation room. Don Cheadle plays an investigator who about to subject Kendrick to a lie detector test. "Kendrick Lamar," he says softly. "Two first names, huh? What the fuck is up with that?"
"DNA." suddenly kicks in and Cheadle's character becomes possessed, rapping the words along and trading bars with Kendrick. He eventually lets Kendrick go. The video becomes more freeform at this point. Kendrick commandeers a dice game, and director Nabil (working with the little homies) intersperses shots of him casually dining with friends and playing pool in a room with his Grammys lined up below a framed portrait of Snoop Dogg and Tupac.
