ESPN's 30 For 30 series will be tackling the story of Vince McMahon's XFL in a short film called "This Was The XFL" which will be debuting on February 2nd.
Vince McMahon teamed up with Dick Ebersol to create the XFL over 15 years ago and as we all now know, it was a completely failure resulting in roughly $70 million in losses for investors.
"This Was The XFL" will not only outline how the league debuted in 2001 and ultimately folded after just one season of mayhem, but also how some of the coverage of those games impacted and redefined the way professional sports are broadcast today.
