The first official trailer for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is here, receiving a live debut on Jimmy Kimmel last night. The trailer begins with Spiderman leaping from what looks like the Washington Monument. Tom Holland plays the same Peter Parker who was introduced in "Captain America: Civil War." Young Spidey must deal with the pressures of high school while realizing his superhero dreams. Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., acts as something of a mentor. "Stay close to the ground, and stay out of trouble," he tells Parker, who doesn't seem to take the advice.
"Birdman" star Michael Keaton plays the supervillain, known as The Vulture. Though Iron Man tells Parker he's not ready to battle such evil, it looks like Spidey will face off against The Vulture in a battle for the ages.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is set to hit theaters on June 7, 2017.
