Back in October, when Dave Chappelle began performing stand-up again, there were reports that some of his jokes implied he was voting Trump over Hillary. He swiftly denied those rumors, confirming he was "unequivocally" anti-Trump, but that doesn't mean he's unwilling to have a laugh about the president-elect. It's likely that Chappelle has planned plenty of material about the man who's prepared to grab the free world "by the p*ssy" for his upcoming Netflix comedy specials, which reportedly earned him $60 million.
Chappelle was spotted in L.A. last night, and right before he was about to enter an upscale lounge, TMZ pressed him about his Netflix comedy special. He first gave the camera a stern look and said, "I don't know about that," before catching his own bluff and going into a Trump impression. "It's gonna be terrific, it's gonna be terrific," he says with Trump's usual embellishment. "You're gonna see my new special, it's gonna be terrific."
Chappelle was then asked to confirm the $60 million monetary value of the deal. He responds, "C'mon n*gga, what do you think this is, my first lap," before trailing off and walking inside. The bouncer then ethers the paps reporter by clapping his hands and saying, "End scene."
