Twitter Reacts: Does Desiigner's "Timmy Turner" Live Up To The Hype?

"Timmy Turner" is finally here. Anyone who grew up in the early '00s should remember "The Fairly OddParents" (apparently it's still airing, thanks Wikipedia), and it's main character, a 10-year white kid named Timmy Turner, who although may appear rather suburban at first glance, actually has a miserable home life with zero parental supervision. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper seems to think that a burner might help Timmy Turner. That's obviously the most audible lyric of the entire song, which also features a chorus of indistinct mumbles and spiritual-esque chanting/humming, at first an XXL Freestyle and now placed atop intricate production from Mike Dean. From a g-funk-esque synth to Desiigner's ad-libs to Mike's piano keys and drums, there's a lot going on. The song also has hefty hype to live up too-- obviously the roll out method for this record was quite effective.

Fans and haters alike have taken to twitter to give their two cents on "Timmy Turner," and we're definitely seeing some flip sides from non-believer to believer. It's hard to really say whether the positive outweighs the negative because it's twitter and new tweets are cropping every second, and I can't spend all day looking at "Timmy Turner" twitter results, and, and, and...However we did our best to present both sides, but generally, from the scouring we have done, it seems the record does live up to the hype. When it comes to you guys, though, there's a split-- the top comment on the song is all "overhype" but the user rating (73%, a large majority of VERY HOTTTTs) tells a different story.
