In anticipation of the release of his debut album Big Baby D.R.A.M. at the end of this week, D.R.A.M. made an appearance on The Breakfast Club this morning to chop it up with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God.
Topics discussed included D.R.A.M.'s origins, his career beginnings in the Hampton, VA mall, his dog, Idnit, his "trappy-go-lucky" sound, the tension surrounding "Hotline Bling" and "Cha Cha," working with Erykah Badu, the success of "Broccoli," and the time when Rick Rubin introduced him to Lil Yachty.
"In February, I was at Shangri La in Malibu for a week and a half, that's where I met Yachty. [Rubin] had brought him out there while I was staying there on a little retreat," he recalls.
