In addition to recent guest Dave East on The Breakfast Club, where the New York rapper announced a new deal with Def Jam, the Power 105.1 morning show also hosted John Legend.
The r'n'b singer doesn't touch much on music during their 27-minute conversation (skip to the 20-minute mark to go straight to the music talk-- Legend confirms he's still signed to G.O.O.D. Music, at least for one more album). The interview focuses more on the current social and political climate. DJ Envy recently got the internet riled up when he spoke out in support of the Stop & Frisk laws, a subject which they discuss during the beginning of the interview. John Legend takes a stance against Envy, and shares some insight on violence and gun laws around the world. He's definitely an intelligent and well-read dude. From there, they discuss the recent presidential debate, with Legend showing support for Hillary Clinton. He also brings up a series of strong points against Donald Trump as well, if you needed any more convincing.
Check out the interview above, it's pretty interesting.
