Upon an initial ride through Ty Dolla $ign's Campaign, which touched down last night, it's clear that the West Coast leader of new-school R&B has delivered two excellent albums in a row. The project includes bedroom ballads of peak sensuality, laments on institutional injustice against his family, and thunderous ratchet bangers. "??? (Where)," featuring the Migos, is of the latter variety. It's the first new Campaign track to receive the video treatment.
"??? (Where)" comes with a brilliantly off-kilter production from DJ Spinz -- one that is suited both for the Sam's Hofbrau strip club in LA, the site of the new video, as well as the Berghain technoklubb in Berlin. The video is filled with intoxicating seediness, as Ty, Quavo, and Takeoff (Offset unfortunately isn't featured) disobey the "look but don't touch" rule of thumb sometimes preferred by dancers.
