Lately, Denzel Curry has been getting his work in by dropping off a few exciting, underground-leaning features, collaborating with acts like Rob $tone, the $UICIDEBOY$, and JK The Reaper. He's now back on his solo grind, revisiting his last project, March's Imperial, by releasing the visual to the track "Gook."
Busting frenetic dance moves, eyes occasionally rolling to the back of his head, Curry brings a maniacal energy to the "Gook" video, a fitting counterpart to the mosh-worthy track. The video mostly takes place in an abandoned warehouse that's become a graffiti park. It ends with Curry standing in front of the water and before the Miami skyline, looking like an otherworldly envoy. As for the track's title, Curry maintains that, in Miami, "Gook" means "Odd or not with the in crowd," and doesn't have anything to do with the racial slur used against East Asians.
