FX has been dropping 15-second "Atlanta" teasers right and left. Now they deliver a minute-long trailer, giving fans something to really chew on.
The highlight of the entertaining trailer is probably the image of the police officer smiling wildly and pointing and imaginary gun at the ascendant Atlanta rapper Paperboy as they pose together for a photo.
The thesis with ['Atlanta'] was kind of to show people how it felt to be black," said Donald Glover, the show's creator and star, in a recent press conference. "What was important to me was that this show was personal and had a specific take, because that’s all you can really ask for from a show nowadays, is having a specific point of view on something.”
The 10-episode first season of "Atlanta" is slated to premiere on September 6th.
