On Monday morning, Tory Lanez continued with his promo run for his forthcoming debut album, I Told You, which arrives August 19 via Interscope Records. While there, Tory was unsurprisingly asked to talk about the recent Drake situation, which he clearly didn’t want to talk about, but decided to clear the air for one last time.
Looking to move on from it all, Tory says he’s focusing his energy on his own material, and not worrying about Drake. “The thing is about me,” he said. “I ain’t here to talk about him. It ain’t one of those. I’m here to talk about me and this album because that’s when that pressure is coming up.”
Sitting down for 32-minutes, Tory also spoke about the album (obviously), his hit records, and even laid down a freestyle before he left as well, which saw him sending a few “jabs” at Drake.
“People know I’m comin’,” he raps. “Shit mean / Competition know I’m comin’, shit free / The shit is ironic that the outcome, look, the album is this summer ’16.
Watch the entire interview above and peep the freestyle around the 19:40 mark.
