Lil Durk "Super Powers" Video

Lil Durk's new album, 2x, originally envisioned as a mixtape, is his strongest work in some time, playing to Durk's strengths where his debut, Remember My Name, sometimes missed the mark through compromise. Today, he's shared a video for "Super Powers,' one of the more melodically-inclined songs on the album. Like much of the project, it puts him in a similar lane to fellow Chicagoans SD and Johnny May Cash, taking on a Young Chop beat that ups the gloss factor from the drill producer's early material. It's reassurance both that Durk is one of his city's best songwriters, and that his label, Def Jam, has confidence in his decisions.
