Well$ and Deniro Farrar showcase a different side of Charlotte in their gripping new video to the "98 Juvie" remix.

Charlotte, NC is a booming town in the South that's known for its football team, its powerful banking sector, and its polished downtown. What doesn't get much exposure are the outskirts of the city, where an exciting rap scene is currently brewing. Today, two of the young leaders of that scene, Well$ and Deniro Farrar, have teamed up for a new video that explores the grittier (and much more stimulating) side of the Carolina metropolis. The video comes to the brand new remix of "98 Juvie," one of Well$' biggest tracks, released in September 2014.

The video races through scenes in the trap, the graveyard, and in abandoned backyards and warehouses. It's a riveting ride with a decidedly Southern aesthetic -- one that's much different than the typical neighborhood trap visuals set in Atlanta and other more recognizable towns. With "98 Juvie," Well$' goal was to shine a light on his city's culture much in the way that Juvenile was doing for New Orleans in 1998. Deniro Farrar has definitely helped him in achieving that end on the new remix. There's so much raw talent between them. Times are looking up for the Queen City.

The "98 Juvie" remix is the first single off Well$' next project, The Way I'm Living Makes My Mom Nervous, which is due out later this summer. Look out for that, and stream Deniro Farrar's (excellent) new project, The Mind of a Gemini, here
