LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul opened up the 2016 ESPYs last night with a powerful speech about social change, a tough act to follow for sure. But the ESPYs host, John Cena, knows how to work a mic and followed up their inspirational opener with one of the best monologues in recent memory.
Cena joked about signing a max contract with the New York Knicks, the "Trainwreck" that is the 2016 Summer Olympics, and took some jabs at himself for wearing jean shorts. But when he started talking about how the WWE is "rigged," it was a perfect subtle shot at Ayesha Curry.
Take a look Cena's entire opening monologue in the video above, it's worth a watch if you want to avoid doing work for 10 minutes.
