Several artists have used their platform recently to raise awareness for the 60 million refugees who have been displaced around the globe. M.I.A.'s "Borders" and Pharrell's "Freedom" have been particularly arresting visuals that shed insight into the plight of refugees. In honor of World Refugee Day, Common and Gregory Porter shared a new song and music video called "Running ("Refugee Song)." Directed and produced by Andrea Pizziconi, the video doubles as a documentary on the conditions in which displaced migrants live. Common assumes the perspective of a refugee for his verse. "Darkness in my way, I pray that the sun will shine," he raps.
