The trio of The Outfit TX are leaders of the burgeoning scene in Dallas, a town that's often overlooked on a national level. The city has already established an exciting and innovative rap culture, a taste of which is provided in The Outfit's new "Type Shit" video. The accompanying track is a new one of the group's upcoming Green Lights: Everythang Goin' mixtape, which will include two previously released Stunt N Dozier-produced club knockers, "Look Into My Eyes" and "Bear Necessities."
The "Type Shit" video is situated a vast parking lot next to a warehouse that could be an abandoned bingo hall. The stunting takes place in patches of tall grass, in front of old derelict automobiles, and in narrow crawlspaces. It's not exactly a flattering portrait of the city, but the whole aesthetic clearly inspires a dark and gritty Southern sound. The Dallas turn-up looks like quite the experience.
Stay tuned for Green Lights: Everythang Goin'.
