This year, MMG's Rockie Fresh has dropped off four installments of his The Night I Went To... mixtape series. The past three projects have been situated in different U.S. cities, as he's taken fans along on nighttime visits to L.A., Chicago, and most recently, New York. He's now returned to the OG The Night I Went To..., the 13-track tape that dropped in January, by giving a video to the track "8 Missed Calls," which served as an interlude between the Breezy-featuring "Call Me" and the Rozay-assisted "Your Life."
The situation depicted in the song and video is a relatable one. Sometimes, amid a wild and intoxicated night, the phone gets put away, and before long, you've got eight missed calls and a world of drama. Rockie lets his girl know that he may not be available throughout the night, but that doesn't mean he's forgotten about who's waiting for him when it's time to go home. He'll come through and patch things up in the morning, when it's finally time for Rockie to receive his nightcap.
