Skepta's Konnichiwa is making waves in the UK and the US, and with that, the rapper sits down with BBC Radio 1xtra to chop it up with fellow UK native DJ Semtex.
The two get pretty in-depth, as the interview spans a good 50 minutes. They start with Skepta's beginnings and influences, and specifically, albums that had a major impact on him-- he names Ready to Die as the first album that meant something to him (as well as Doggystyle). He also talks about his relationship with his brother and affiliate, JME (aka Jamie), and his younger brother, their childhood and the lessons their mom instilled in them.
They go on to discuss Konnichiwa, Dizzee Rascal, Drake and much, much more.
