Earlier this year, Nick Grant seemingly came outta nowhere with the release of his '88 mixtape, which was met with near-universal acclaim by the HNHH audience. The ATL native was able to get three Southern veterans, Big K.R.I.T., Killer Mike, and Young Dro, on the tape, and he apparently has a fan in Andre 3000 as well. He's since quietly inked a deal with Epic Records, and while he's currently prepping his biggest release yet, Grant has decided to return to '88 with a video to the track "Window Seat."
Grant's lyrics are what immediately stand out, and he's got an energetic and unpredictable delivery to match. In his new video, Grant takes a "Window Seat" in a Seattle penthouse and enjoys a lovely view of the Space Needle. His appeal is summed up well with lines like, "I ain't gangsta, I ain't conscious / I'm just real, I'm just honest."
