It seems as though the performances from the big acts at this year's Coachella have been judged by the special guests that have made surprise appearance on stage. Last weekend, A$AP Rocky brought out Kanye West, and last night, for his weekend #2 return, he welcomed Miguel, Tyler, the Creator, and A$AP Ferg. G-Eazy is currently experiencing more success than ever before, and his Coachella set last night only included one guest, though it was a big one.
Lil Wayne lit up the Coachella crowd by making a surprise entry in the middle of Eazy's set and going right into "A Milli," the Carter III smash hit that happened to be released exactly eight years ago today (Apr. 23). "A Milli" was the only original song Wayne performed, though he went on to rap his verses from Drake's "The Motto," Nicki Minaj's "Truffle Butter," and French Montana's "Pop That," his final song before giving the stage back to Eazy.
G-Eazy and Weezy have appeared together on a couple of remixes, including that of DJ Carnage's "I Like Tuh" and Eazy's own "Order More," though neither of those were performed last night. Eazy didn't have too much to add while Weezy was performing, though he was clearly honored by the guest appearance, and he played a worthy hype man the whole time.
As of now, the only footage available is of Wayne performing "Pop That," though check back here soon for videos of the other tracks with which Tune delighted the California crowd.
