Solange brought some incredible energy to the SNL stage.

Solange has had a couple of firsts this year. Her third studio album A Seat At The Table became her first project to top the Billboard 200 last month, and this weekend, she made her debut as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. The singer performed her two singles "Cranes In The Sky" and "Don't Touch My Hair," bringing the aesthetic from her stunning videos to the stage, with her band and back-up dancers dressed in all white.

When the hook on "Don't Touch My Hair" hit, Sampha, took the stage, assisting Solange on vocals, and becoming one of many moving pieces on stage. The highlight came when Solange performed a solo dance routine during the instrumental bridge of the song, only for the energy to come to its peak at the explosive final chorus.

Both Solange's sister Beyonce, and her mother Tina Lawson were in attendance. Tina posted a video of herself and Bey picking up Solange to Instagram, writing, "She's still our baby. We have Been picking her up like this since she was 10 yrs old . On the legendary SNL stage."

Benedict Cumberbatch served as the host for the night. Later this month, Dave Chapelle will be on hosting duties, while A Tribe Called Quest appear as the musical guest.
