Coming off the release of his In My Mind album, BJ The Chicago Kid decides to come through today and share the official video for his Kendrick Lamar-featured record “The New Cupid.”
Heading out to the pleasant suburbs, the Matt Barnes-directed clip features several cameos from Mila J, Iamsu!, comedian Hannibal Buress throughout it. Here’s what the Chicago crooner had to say about it,
“Working on this video was a dream come true, from Hannibal agreeing to play the new Cupid, to Raphael [Saadiq] providing the music, Iamsu! lending us his acting skills and Mila J stopping through to lend us her smile and beauty. I have to say I have a great group of friends. Even Kendrick [Lamar] paused everything he had going around the Grammys to make sure we had what we needed.”
