Yesterday, Noisey introduced a new docu-series to follow up the ones they did for Chicago and Atlanta, this time heading to the West Coast with a focus on Compton. The documentary kicked off with an episode focused on Kendrick Lamar, who is framed as a sort of torch-bearer for the city and it's current rise in the rap game.
Today Noisey debuts the second episode, which focuses more closely on K Dot's elementary school homie, Lil L. We find out more about L's rap career, and they eat a gumbo dinner at his grandmother's house, who speaks on the Watts riots.
Stay tuned for more episodes.
