Lil B's Thugged Out Pissed Off mixtape capped off the year on a very based note, but as its title suggests, it was fighting for change rather than expressing outright happiness. "Born Poor" is an example of one of the uplifting songs on the album that found positivity in struggle. It finds the Based God celebrating perseverance after being introduced to the world without money of privilege.
The video shows Lil B washing cars and mopping floors at Home Depot, as he illustrates the hard work that he and so many others had to do in order to get ahead.
