Trey Songz has released two mixtapes in the past two weeks: his Trappy New Years collaboration with Fabolous, and Anticipation 3, which arrived last night. With his Tremaine album on the horizon, it's shaping up to be a big 2017 for Mr. Steal Yo Girl.
Today we revisit one of the finest songs in Songz' catalogue: "Gotta Go," which originally appeared on his 2005 debut album I Gotta Make It. Though it doesn't take many risks it's pretty much a flawlessly executed R&B record. One doubts Tremaine will revisit this sound. But perhaps it should.
