Jay IDK (Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge) put his name on the map with this summer's SubTrap, the title of which represents his brand of rapping -- trap music with substance. Basically, he delivers detailed stories, oftentimes dealing with difficult subject matter, but he does so with brute force, an energy that ultimately comes from grueling nights in the trap house.
He's just unveiled the video to the SubTrap cut "Metro," which shows rapping his ass off for two straight minutes, trying to shake off all of the external pressures that have driven him to the edge. And he does all this while riding the public Metro system in D.C.
There are a number of memorable lyrics to choose from, but we'll choose to highlight one in particular:
"Mama say you never home / Daddy, he irrelevant / I ain't seen my daddy since Bill Clinton was the President."
