Last month, Mass Appeal released an exciting documentary called "Rubble Kings," which tells the story of the birth of hip hop in the South Bronx in the 1970s. Now, Run the Jewels comes through with the visual for “Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)." Spoiler: it's fucking awesome.
The animated video follows a badass chick by the name of "Little Nina," a member of the Rubble Kings who gets ambushed one day while walking home from her grandmother's house by a rival gang, The Javelins. A brawl ensues.
Based on the score of the doc, the "Rubble Kings" soundtrack is produced by Little Shalimar and features guest appearances from the likes of RTJ, Bun B, Mr Muthaf*kin Exquire, Ghostface Killah, Ka and Roxiny, among others. The soundtrack drops on January 15th.
