B-Roc and J. Patt make up The Knocks, a production duo whose debut album is coming at the top of 2016. The project, titled 55, already counts Fetty Wap, Wyclef Jean, Matthew Koma, Walk The Moon, and more among its collaborators, but today we're hearing our most anticipated record from the collection, "New York City" with none other than Cam'ron.
The nostalgic sample-based record is reminiscent of early Dipset, and Killa Cam goes in accordingly, starting with a spoken word intro that gradually forms its way into the twisting multi-syllabic wordplay he's made his name off of. We only get to hear the first part of the track, so it's possible he's got some more bars later on, but until that album drops, we may just have to wait and see.
