Yesterday (Oct. 10), Kanye West performed at a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee in San Francisco. He was introduced by Barack Obama, who cracked a few jokes at the 2020 "peezy" candidate's expense.
His stage, full of Yeezy Season 2-clad background dancers, looked similarly to the one he performed on during his recent "808s & Heartbreak" shows in L.A. He opened with "Power," and throughout the show, the crowd of wealthy political donors, who paid up to $10,000 for a ticket, is surprisingly rowdy throughout the show. It's somewhat off-putting to see a crowd of establishment partisans chanting "That's that shit I don't like" upon Yeezy prompting their opinions of "a snitch n*gga."
It had been rumored that West would perform new SWISH material at the fundraiser, but he didn't premiere any unreleased tracks. The newest track he played was "All Day," released in March, though 'Ye had enough classics in the bag to make for a compelling performance.
