Slayter has proved his versatility on records like "Krazy" and "Night I Can't Remember," but his track, "Mobb Deep," proves he can stick within dark New York rap traditionalism as well, paying proper tribute to the titular duo. His new video pairs that with "Jesus Piece," which is even more aggressive and indebted to the city Slayter hails from. All the while he rocks a Yankees cap and gives the camera plenty of charisma, proving he's not just another NY rapper living in the past.
"Mobb Deep" and "Jesus Piece" are produced by V Don and Thelonius Martin respectively, and we're hoping to hear more collaborations between the producers and Slayter on further releases.
