J. Cole is a rapper who never shies away from touchy subjects, especially those in the sociopolitical realm. Cole recently guested on The Combat Jack Show, where he was asked about the rampant police brutality in America and what society can do to curb police violence. The 2014 Forest Hills Drive rapper went on to explain that there are good men and women who become cops, but due to the institutionalized job description, the term "good cop" itself is an oxymoron.
"Because the job ain't good," said Cole, "The machine -- they all part of a machine that's not good. They are agents of a machine...Are there good people in those roles? Absolutely. Great people -- who really thought they were joining to make a difference and make a change -- but now currently find themselves fucking up people's days."
