Devontée shares the excellent new video for "Bare Tings," the first visual from forthcoming project District Vibe scheduled to drop later this summer.
Devontée is an impressive guy: he is the former #1 left tackle in Canada, Steph Curry's wife's cousin, and one of the originators of the term "woe." He described the term in a recent interview with Noisey: "Woe is my crew. It stands for 'working on excellence.' It’s just my whole brand and my whole movement and my way of life for everyone. I want everyone to work on excellence. So, all my friends are my Woes and I feel anybody working on excellence in life is a Woe in life as well."
The song's refrain of "All of my woes they go, Bare Tings!" is definitely the sort of chant that could take on a life of its own with a little help from Vine/the internet.
Watch Devontée ride around Toronto with his woes in the Ram Accoumeh-directed vid above, which includes an unreleased track appended onto to the end.
