Yesterday we got the a good chunk of Angie Martinez's in-depth sit-down with the Cash Money boss, Birdman. Although it was supposed to be a "tell-all" not much was told, as Birdman spoke in circles/contradictions. Angie did her best to work around it, but, the interview left us as listeners wanting more/generally confused.
Today Power 105.1 has followed up and released the full interview, which happened over the course of a two-day period in Miami Beach. Yesterday's conversation found Birdman saying he'd let Wayne leave if that's what Wayne wants (??), while confirming he'd keep a firm hold on Nicki Minaj and Drake either way.
In the follow-up conversation, Angie tries to dig deeper with Baby and get a bit more out of him-- from attempting to clarify what really happened at LIV to what he means by saying he'd "let" Wayne go, even though that obviously doesn't appear to be the case given how hostile Weezy has been.
During the latter half of the interview, they also touch on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V delay with Birdman saying "he's his own man on that aspect," while denying that he pushed the album back. Watch it above.
Are you less confused now?
