By now we've all heard Vic Mensa's recent banger "No Chill," in which Skrillex proves once and for all that his production abilities are not limited to dubstep and EDM. Between "No Chill" and "U Mad," Mensa is rapidly shaping a distinct sound for himself that departs from the more soul-based production he utilized on breakout mixtape Innanetape.
Mensa performed "No Chill" and "U Mad" at the Pitchfork Festival this weekend. Wearing a provocative "kill the poor" shirt and and backed by a live band, the Hyde Park hooligan once again showed that he knows how to get a crowd hyped.
