FX's wildly popular horror series, "American Horror Story" will be returning for a 6th season on Wednesday, September 14th.
However, unlike previous seasons of American Horror Story in which the themes are blatantly showcased in teaser trailers, they're keeping some mystery around what's in store for Season 6.
"Every year, we’ve basically laid out the themes, the new genre that Ryan’s going to be approaching, and we just thought [this year] it’d be really fun to keep it a mystery. So, we are," Landgraf said.
Three new trailers have recently been released and both offer very different possibilities. One is set in an open field, featuring a lifeless body being elevated into the sky while a campfire burns on the ground. The second shows a dental nurse cutting down a string of teeth hanging outside of her house with a pair of scissors. The third is some bizarre creature crawling along a train track.
"They went out and made many more trailers than you've actually seen for...different genres and different places," Landgraf teased. "I just love it on an artistic level. One of them is accurate, the others are all misdirects...We just thought that would be a nice change…all I can say is there is a theme, a setting and a place, but were not going to reveal it."
So yeah, it's really anyone's guess what Season 6 of AHS is all about but if you've seen any of the previous seasons you already know it's going to be supremely creepy.
Take a look at the aforementioned trailers below, as well as a compilation of the previously unveiled trailers, and let us know if you plan on tuning in next month.
