Elijah Blake details the making of his "I Just Wanna..." single, and his new album "Shadows & Diamonds."

Elijah Blake is definitely a humble and genuine dude. After giving us an acoustic performance of his single "I Just Wanna..." we had the singer sit down and detail how the song came together, including DeJ Loaf's feature on the remix. Elijah takes us back to how the original song came about, with the singer tapping a relatively unknown producer for the instrumental. Apparently No I.D. proclaimed it a hit upon first listen, a rare moment coming from the producer.

Once it was finished, Elijah Blake actually submitted two names for his remix feature: Travi$ Scott and DeJ Loaf. Can you imagine Travi$ on that track? Although he had started working on his verse, DeJ sent her's back first, and Elijah was impressed. The rest, as they say, is history.

Elijah also speaks on his relationship with No I.D., songwriting for other artists (Usher, Diplo etc), and more in our exclusive interview.
