Following Dom Kennedy's visit to Big Boy's Neighborhood to talk about his new album, By Dom Kennedy, fellow rapper and West Coast native Nipsey Hussle hit up the talk show.
Nipsey's made some bold business moves the past year or two, including the marketing and release of two different projects, Mailbox Money and Crenshaw. Nonetheless we're still waiting for the long-delayed Victory Lap. While on Big Boy, Nip spoke on his endeavors and his being business-minded, and revealed he built a new studio in Burbank, CA.
During the 30-minute conversation, he also touches on a timeframe for Victory Lap and why he turned down a role in "Straight Outta Compton" (Snoop Dogg wanted Nip to play him).
"I just been in album mode. It's coming this year for sure. Once I'm done it's not gunna take long to get it out," he said on the album. We'll keep you posted.
