Last week, we finally got to hear Jamie xx's masterful debut album, In Colour. Among thrilling instrumental tracks and an off-the-wall summer anthem courtesy of Young Thug and Popcaan, there are three tracks on which he collaborates with his bandmates from The xx, and one of them was performed on French television yesterday.
"Loud Places," a warm, romantic track that features vocals from Romy Madley-Croft, got a full band rework, complete with a full choir singing the song's Idris Muhammad sample. The song's instrumental was fleshed out by the other xx member, Oliver Sim, as well as Stella Mozgawa, a member of indie band Warpaint who's honestly one of the best drummers around. This rendition is truly a thing to behold.
