These days Lil B is riding the lecture circuit like Bill Clinton, having made appearances at such fine universities as NYU, Virginia Tech, MIT, and Carnegie Mellon. This past Thursday he swung thru Ackerman Grand Ballroom at UCLA to share his wisdom with the young people of Southern California. The Based God was energetic and passionate as he gave what appeared to be a straight-off-the-dome lecture to a packed house, though it's possible that he prepared an outline of topics to touch on.
B spoke on everything from the government (what is is exactly?) to mental health. He had some choice words on the subject of spelling:
“If somebody spells a word wrong or they say something wrong, it’s my job as a receiver to decipher. I’m always working to decipher communication, because sometimes people are embarrassed. Somebody might put you down or something. I can speak for myself: Everybody’s always trying to correct me, my spelling.”
Ultimately Lil B assumed the role of motivational speaker, as he sought to inspire UCLA students to better themselves everyday so that they reach their full potential and never forgetting the maxim of self-love.
"We're beautiful people," he said. "And you always gotta remember that. You're special. You made it. I love you."
