ASAP Rocky chops it up with HotNewHipHop about his new opus, "At.Long.Last.A$AP."

ASAP Rocky is fresh off the release of his new album, A.L.L.A., and as we've seen in recent interviews with Harlem's most jiggy native, he's pretty proud of it. However, Rocky's still super humble-- although touting the album as his best during the beginning of our interview, he's cautious to say that's just his opinion. "I know I tried my best and I think I made a dope album, in my opinion, I made an incredible album. I just hope other people see it the same way."

We caught up with Rocky last night to get in a few questions about At.Long.Last.A$AP. The rapper detailed a few songs specifically, like "Canal St.," and how it came together, from the subject matter (Rocky's days of hustling) to the beat (the Bones sample). As we hypothesized in our review, the Bones sample is thanks to both ASAP Rocky and Yams' musically-inclined ear. "What happened was, I saw it online and I thought it was fire. I was like, 'yo Yams, you ever heard of this kid Bones?' He was like, 'yeah of course I know Bones'," Rocky tells us. "I wanna tell him I wanna fuck with that "Dirt" song, and he was like, 'bet, bet, I got you.' And Yams just linked it up."

Bones is just one of several new faces that appear on A.L.L.A., including Joe Fox, Vulkan The Krusader and Frans Mernick. ASAP went on to discuss the history between him and Frans, revealing Frans not only produced "Better Things" but sings on the chorus too.

Rocky doesn't hold back on providing details in the 17-minute sit down. In addition to speaking on the ASAP Yams-dedicated album art (with creative direction from Rick Owens' wife) and "Jukebox Joints," he also talks about Lil Wayne's verse on "M'$" and how Yams was the one pushing for the verse. "He went mixtape Weezy on that one," Rocky says.
