Named after his son, the recently-released "Khaza" is one of the hardest Kevin Gates tracks ever. Over a mournful funeral march from The Mekanics and Yung Ladd, Gangsta Gates talks going to war over nothing, Beyoncé following him on Instagram ("Jigga watch it"), having nightmares of coming home to find his daughter dead, and as a result, putting a rival's child in an oven. It's dizzying to hear him cover so much ground over the course of this hookless three minute long track, and so thankfully, this video doesn't distract too much from his rapping.
In it, we see gates and some BWA affiliates chilling in a mansion, with gates recording verses on the deck in a bucket hat. It seems impossible that such harrowing stories could be recorded in such a picturesque location, but then again, Gates probably has enough dark memories stored up to provide a lifetime of music, no matter where it's recorded.
