Between an album with Ghostface Killah and their jazz-ified covers of everything from Gucci Mane's "Lemonade" to Slum Village's "Fall In Love," Toronto trio BADBADNOTGOOD have proven themselves to be the most rap-savvy jazz band in the game. Last night, they lent their considerable talents to Earl Sweatshirt, who used them as his backing band on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." Watch them do I Don't Like Shit I Don't Go Outside cuts "Huey" and "Grief" above.
Bringing the LA rapper's gloomy soundscapes to life, BBNG tailored their sound to perfectly recreate the music's atmosphere and sluggish pacing. As their first big break came via Tyler, The Creator, it's cool to see them back working with an Odd Future member (even though Earl's been distancing himself from the collective).
Later on, the band got a chance to do an instrumental cut-- watch that here.
