Last month, Compton's own AD dropped off his Blue:89 tape, chock full of fourteen tracks, and it garnered 93% user acclaim. Today, he's sharing a video for its opening cut, "Blue."
Over a dramatic piano intro, AD wears his heart on his sleeve, with lyrics pertaining to his grandmother, fallen homies and empty bank accounts. Strings rise, and just when you think things are about to get all "Dreams & Nightmares Intro" on us, AD says "Wait a minute, that ain't how the West Coast rock" and heralds a classic G-funk beat that comes out of nowhere. A dope video for a dope track.
