From the projects of North London, Shocka lends credence to the notion that British hip hop is alive and well. The "My Revolution" video starts off with a clip of Russell Brand Brandsplaining systemic social inequality, then segues into the main event, Shocka urging the masses to rise up in revolution and wake the hell up out of its blissfully (and willfully) ignorant slumber.
The video gives off Big Brother vibes and it's hard to watch the whole thing without wanting to fight The Man by the end. Skepta goes in. In the words of YouTube user loveglass events, "This guy has the biggest nuts in the UK respect bro."
Stay woke.
