In rare form, hip-hop icon, Rakim, decided to sit down with Montreality and talk about his upcoming album, among many other things.
Running 9-minutes in length, the Long Island icon opened up on his surprisingly love for the newer crop of young rappers and who he likes to listen to in his spare time. Talking about artists like J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, Rakim had the following to say about K. Dot:
“He’s again that new fuel, a conscious new fuel where he’s not that’s not just doing whats hot for today you know what I mean? He has substance, and he aint scared to make a statement neither you know what I mean? And he’s nice man.”
