For the latest segment in our on-going series “On The Come Up”, we head out to the 757 in Virginia and showcase an artist who’s been on our radar, and perhaps yours, for a while: D.R.A.M. (which is an appropriate acronym that stands “Does Real Ass Music”).
Since dropping off his 1Epic EP a couple months back, D.R.A.M.’s buzz has steadily been on the rise thanks to the popularity of his song “Cha Cha”, and now he looks to build off all its success. In this edition of “On The Come Up”, D.R.A.M. speaks on his origin and Virginia roots, his 1Epic EP, his past jobs, hustling, not wanting to be categorized in a box, and much more.
He even reveals that he used to go by Drama J and that a project called Got Soul is out online somewhere with his boy Ill Cosby if any of you die hard fans want to revive it. And while you’re at it, check out D.R.A.M.’s latest release “Excessive".
The future looks bright for this Virginia artist, don't sleep.
