On Sunday night, Tyler, The Creator dropped his third album (fourth, if you count Bastard as an album) Cherry Bomb, and last night, he was on PBS to talk about the project. Speaking to host Tavis Smiley, the Odd Future head honcho talks working with the legend Roy Ayers, hating school and idolizing Pharrell.
Tyler kicks things off by informing Smiley that he was the reason he initially got into N*E*R*D's In Search Of... (which he says he likes better than Illmatic on "Deathcamp"), which is a cool coincidence. They go on to talk about "Pleasantville," Tyler being ostracized for liking "White boy music" and Roy Ayers complimenting Tyler's chord changes.
