Earlier this month, Rihanna debuted an anthemic new song called "American Oxygen" at the March Madness festival in Indianapolis, and now an official video has surfaced. Its montage of various scenes of Americans struggling, fighting, protesting, working and uniting in solidarity perfectly fits the patriotic lyrics.
In it, Rih Rih stands both on the steps of a courthouse and in front of an American flag, with videos flashing in front of her throughout. Among less recognizable scenes, we see Tommie Smith and John Carlos' black power salute during the 1968 Olympics, the twin towers on 9/11 and Muhammed Ali in the ring. Rihanna went big on this one.
