One of the year's biggest surprises has been the return of Charles Hamilton. Last week, he released his entire discography for free, though the unpredictable Harlem emcee's biggest statement is still his single, "New York Raining", with rising British star Rita Ora. Now we have the visual to the new single, and we can confirm Charles didn't lose any of his creativity during his unfortunate hiatus from hip-hop.
The all black-and-white video takes place in, NYC, of course, but Charles takes us back to the Civil Rights-era 1960s. Charles leads a group of black activists amid images of protest and oppression, while also trying to catch up with the woman who stole his heart. Powerful stuff.
