Of all the seemingly harebrained, dream scenarios that rap fans dream, up a Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole joint album is one of the craziest. The thing is, both artists have lent credibility to the rumors by saying they've recorded together a lot in the past and dropping hints every now and then. The latest of these comes in Kendrick Lamar's interview on Hot 97 on the day of his announcement as a Summer Jam headliner.
Lamar says the album is still a distinct possibility, but has been held up due to his and Cole's busy schedules. Elsewhere, he fields a ton of questions about the "classic" status of To Pimp A Butterfly.
